The Association of Chechens in Belgium is organising a study afternoon on comparison of consequences of deportation of 1944 and the migration from last years on the own traditions and language.
Dr. Imran Saidov and Prof. Daud Baysultanov will give their views upon these phenomenons. Josée Goethals and Annemarie Gielen of Pax Christi Flanders will shed some light on the importance of a good integration process in the new society where many Chechen refugees live in. They will also explain what Pax Christi is doing on the Chechen issue politically. A new male choir will present their songs during the cultural part of the day. It starts at 16h00 in Rubenszaal, Statiestraat 175 in Berchem (50m from Antwerpen-Berchem Station).
